I grouped the songs on the basis of the year I wrote them. Ten to fifteen songs then jointly constitute a single play list or, as it is called today, a virtual album, showing my moods and state of mind during that period of time.

Obviously, some songs are happy and wild, while others tend to be more slow and sad, just as how my feelings changed every now and then. Sometimes I'm happy and excited. Sometimes I'm lonely and down. And at other moments I might be angry or unsettled. I think we all go through such kind of phases during a year or even a day.

 

When writing my songs, I only try to follow what pops up in my heart. For me, music is all about emotions. It's astonishing to notice how our brain, after receiving a sequence of tones, transforms these air waves into an emotion that is felt so deeply that it hurts or makes you just want to dance. Not once, but every time you hear that same sequence, over and over again. That's the wonder of music.
